Current clients can start emailing us immediately at manassas@barkandboarding.com for any reservations that will be July 1 or later! We have hopes that we may be able to actually start boarding in June depending on staffing, so if any clients are hoping for June boarding they can certainly send us an email and we can figure that out on an individual basis.

The only thing we won't do is allow toys/ treats in the daycare zone, to reduce any danger of resource guarding. We will still have all of the play structures in the zone, they will still get a nap time every afternoon, and they will still get outdoor time 3 times per day.

Standard Boarding pricing includes 3 outdoor potty breaks per day, all feedings and medication administrations.
Daycare, one-on-one playtimes, enrichments, training and extra potty breaks can be added for an additional fee.

The short answer is yes, staff is trained to administer all types of medication including injections, and what to do in case of a seizure or medical emergency. However, for some dogs (i.e. super-seniors, certain heart conditions, etc.) we may ask for a note from the vet stating that they feel that the dog is in good enough health to withstand the stress of boarding. We also have a senior dog policy for dog in group play that states that we must see any dog over 10yrs for daycare within a month of their boarding stay.
-
We allow intact males and females over 6 months to board in our Kennel/Suite system but CANNOT add-on daycare.
For females in heat, we require a booking in one of our Suites (fees apply). We do this to allow your pup a quieter, less stressful space to stay in during their heat cycle (dogs in heat can suffer from additional anxiety or stress so we want them to be as comfortable as possible). Additionally, this ensures other dogs in our care are not as effected by her scent/pheromones.
